Approval of HIL Shanghai office
HIL obtains approval from the Chinese Ministry of Justice to open an office in Shanghai.

Foreign law firms operating in China are subject to approval requirements by the Chinese government. Once approval is obtained, the foreign law firm is entitled to open an office and operate on a commercial basis in China.

HIL is the first, and only, law firm from the Netherlands, and one of only a few European continental law firms, to have been awarded such approval.

HIL has established its offices at the "Bund”, Shanghai’s historic financial centre and now once again rapidly emerging as China’s Wall Street.

HIL will continue its strong cooperation with its China partner firm, Shanghai leading law firm Fangda Partners, PRC Lawyers.
