Businesses operating abroad usually see the need to send their own staff to manage foreign activities. This raises various issues, in particular with respect to expatriate employment contracts, residence and work permits, and tax. Sound planning from the very outset of a foreign venture will usually avoid unnecessary expense and costly procedures at a later stage.
